Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days - Choose a day that works best for you!

Bring your household, automotive, lawn and garden chemicals in their original containers to Envirotec (100 Cory Road). All material is recycled or disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.


The program is open to Saskatoon residents only, and no commercial hazardous products of any kind will be accepted. Call 975-2486 if you have any questions.

Envirotec will be accepting products between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.



Envirotec will accept the following materials:

o Adhesives - contact cement, caulking, sealer, carpet and linoleum adhesives, glue

o Aerosols - hair spray, insect repellant, lubricant spray, furniture cleaner

o Automotive - used engine oil, used engine oil filters, antifreeze, batteries, carburetor cleaners, oil fuel, windshield cleaner

o Batteries - automotive, cellphone, dry-cell, NiCad, lithium, alkali, lead-acid

o Cleaners - oven cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, glass cleaner, spot remover, disinfectants, car wax

o Corrosives - drain cleaner, engine degreaser, ammonia, battery acid, sulfuric acid

o Fuels - gasoline, diesel, kerosene, lamp oil, oil/gas mixture

o Mercury - mercury, thermometers, thermostats, fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent lights (CFLs)

o Oxidizers - chlorine, bleach, pool chemicals, fertilizers, hydrogen peroxide, septic tank chemicals

o Poisons - lawn herbicides, garden chemicals, rat poison, gopher killer, insecticides

o Pharmaceuticals - old prescription drugs, medicines (no sharps or biological waste)

o Propane Cylinders - barbeque cylinders, camp cylinders

o Solvents - paint thinner, acetone, varsol, alcohol, benzene, xylene, naphtha



Paint - Paint is not accepted by Envirotec. Please see SARCAN's Saskatchewan Paint Recycling Program

SARCAN Recycling to accept paint drop-offs without charge at any SARCAN depot location across the province.

Electronics Recycling

SARCAN Recycling collects end-of-life electronics for environmentally and socially responsible recycling in accordance with the Province of Saskatchewan's Environmental Management and Protection Act. The cost of recycling these electronics is funded by Environmental Handling Fees (EHFs) paid to the Saskatchewan Waste Electronic Equipment Program (SWEEP).

Accepted Products

Computers, including CPUs (towers), desktop servers, and thin clients.

Computer Monitors, including CRT and flat panel monitors and automotive displays.

Computer Periphery, including keyboards, mice, speakers, external modems/routers, external disk/hard drives, and scanners.

Desktop Printers, including inkjet printers, laser/toner printers, dot matrix printers, all-in-one (multi-function) printers, photo printers, label printers, card printers, desktop photocopiers, and fax machines.

Portable Computers, including laptop (notebook) computers and tablet computers.

Televisions, including CRT and flat panel televisions, closed-circuit displays, and TV/VCR or DVD combinations.

Audio Equipment, including stereos (home and automobile), speakers (home, automobile, and MP3 docking speakers), headphones, microphones, portable music players (CD, cassette, MP3), voice recorders, sub woofers, radios, alarm clock radios, and turntables.

Video Equipment, including VCRs, DVD players, portable DVD players, Laser Disk players, Blu Ray players, personal video recorders (PVRs), satellite receivers, cable receivers, personal data assistants (PDAs), and digital picture frames.

Cameras, including analog/film cameras, digital cameras, video cameras (both analog and digital), web cameras, and security cameras.

Telephones, including corded and cordless telephones, cellular and 'smart' telephones, satellite telephones, VOIP telephones, pagers, beepers, and answering machines (both digital and cassette).

Components and broken down pieces of all the aforementioned electronics.
